I'm Ashyln! I have been working at the clinic for a total of 6 years. While I love animals in general and enjoy interacting with them when they come in, my favorite thing about working with animals is figuring out how to solve their issues. Even from a young age, I have always been drawn toward animals. I want to help them when they can’t help themselves. They can’t tell us what is wrong, and it’s almost like detective work sometimes to figure out how to help. The most challenging part of it is constantly seeing and trying to combat the general lack of knowledge among the public when it comes to pet health. Everyone has an opinion regarding what is necessary and what is best, and often the information is incorrect and misleading. Conveying that to our clients is a vital part of the job, but it is definitely not always easy. My favorite animals are dogs, however I also really like reptiles. I currently own 2 Kenyan Sand Boas. During my free time, I enjoy tending to my indoor plants, playing video games, and spending time with my friends.
From the clinic:
Ashlyn is always ready to deal with the clients, whether they are in a good or a bad mood. She has the calm and connectedness to inform them how everything is going to proceed and what they should expect during that process. She is often found in all parts of the clinic helping anyone who needs it at the time.
